During the last sixties/early seventies, In a british sitcom, there was a character, who, when asked what he was having to drink, whilst sitting around a table in their local pub or club, would always answer, '' I'll ave an half'', meaning a half pint of beer, - can anyone tell me the title of the sitcom. Nearest and Dearest or Love Thy Neighbour could be possible.?

The show was "Love Thy Neighbour" and the charactor was 'Jacko' who said "i'lll ave alf' The black actor in the programme is in Eastenders as the father of the doctor and rogue son.
'Nearest and Dearest' was a sitcom starring Hilda Baker and Jimmy Jewel. It revolved round a pickle factory. Its most famous catchphrase was, "Have you been?"
