...How will you wear your poppy.Gentlemen on left lapel, ladies on right, does the leaf point upper left towards 11 o'clock.Does any of this matter as long as we have made our donation to those who served and gave their lives for our freedom.

don't think it matters if you haven't made a donation either
Didn't know there were rules but I always buy and wear a standard red poppy.
I think that if you make the donation then it shows respect... probably even more so should ettiquette be made apparant .... likewise may peopleobject to the incorrect hanging of the union jack ....
sorry, that should read "many" ...
Depends where I'm going usually, in the brim of my hat or my left lapel, but it doesn't really matter as long as you wear it.
Not since I stabbed myself with the pin, the poppy is in my bag.
i'll buy a poppy, i dont think it matters how you wear it. showing you care is important to me
I take part in the Parade every year, so it's on the left and 11:00 for me.
I got in the good books last week, and bought my wife one of these... http://www.poppyshop....ley-poppy-brooch.html
Well given that not all poppies have a leaf, it might be difficult to have the upper leaf pointing to 11.

I don't think the way you wear it is so important these days. The fact that it is worn and people remembered is the important issue (for those who WISH to wear and remember of course).

I'm damn sure that the old soldiers amongst us (and yes, I have regular contact with an old soldier - my grandad), don't actually care HOW it is worn. I do know that at 87 he'll be parading with his poppy and his medals.
I donate but don't take a poppy as I can't wear it at work and that's pretty much where I am most of the time. You used to get window stickers for cars though... I wonder if you still get them?

My grandfather fought through both world wars,my father lived through one and fought through the other,A 64 yrs I have done neither and I thank those who went before me for my liberty
I'm with Erin, I will put some money in the tin but I don't take a poppy as it will just get lost or I will stab one of the little people with the pin.
My Great Grandad lost his leg in WW1. I never met him but he was a huge part of my Dad's life. We have poppies all over the house in different forms just as a constant tribute to him.
Or here even,

wear it with pride.......
I'm in my late 60's and I have never heard before about the positioning of the leaf but now I have, that's how mine will be. Provided the darn thing stays on, of course.
