Thought that you might enjoy this. I know it's supposed to be a question here, so excuse me, after all crosswords are one of the hearts of AB, aren't they?.

Bibblebub, Dannyk and Oldred sit in their easy chairs,
With newspapers, pens and thesaurus in hand
The sunlight glistens, white beams on their silver hair
Their tea, once hot and ready, their assault duly planned.
Their crossword room, comfy and quaint
Old photographs on the side, piles of books
An air of mustiness pervades, the antique.
Their scenery down the garden long and onto the sea
White waves crashing below, drama and spray
An old Welsh dresser groans with Wemyss ware porcelain
A broken vase holds thirty two pens, Bibble’s glasses atop
In their kitchen the kettle boils, sings and shakes
The teapot is waiting as the morning light rises
One Down, five letters. Perhaps an “American Bowl in the dark”?
And they pitch aside their books, a clue so simply stark.

Just one of those fun things put together on a dampish Sat pm, sibs, as the England game finished and then the second one with the Irish and Springboks started up.....
