Here we are again, another Saturday and we at Nungate Towers throw open the doors to all Mad Over Fifties.
For your delight and entertainment, tonight the Minstrels are back in the gallery playing madrigals and fugues, later they have promised us their own interpretation of the greatest hits of the Nolan Sisters - such fun! We also have the Freuchie Formation Dancers performing in the Ballroom. Tonight's tailcock will be the "Blizzard" reflecting the current weather conditions around the Towers. In addition to the customary, horses doovers and volly vonts, tonight the Hot Plate Special will be individual Chicken Pot Pies, for pudding Scoff has excelled himself and has travelled far and wide to bring us Baked Alaska (made with ingredients from that great state!)
In the rofl for tonight, I offer Last Year's Advent Calender (doors all opened)
bag of used batteries
1 ski
roller skates (one wheel missing)

A warm welcome is extended to all who dare enter here

Sleighs at midnight

I'll pass your thanks to the staff Excel, I just did some volly vonts. It's all in the planning you see
The Kent coast looks different every day
blue, wind, white, cold, sky, icy, waves
the inconsistently continuous chimes
of commuters hitting the ‘warning cold snow on the rails’ sign.

Touched by first light of every new Arctic day
it colour washes our AB mood
Bleak, blustery, battering and icy beautiful
The Berg, bright, blue, white and grey

Clear and colourful, murky and opaque
from the bleak desolation of Dungeness
to Margate’s clear northern light
Icebergs of ever changing Polar ice enmeshed

From pebbly beaches to cliffs of pure white
AB's Polar Bear swims across the inlet:
the Kent Mainland to Sheppey isle defined by
Cold winter ice so Arctic and freezing windswept.
(not the greatest weather forecast, is it?)
DT, please take me home
a bucket of Blizzard please, go easy on the ice.....ta
No DT, hope it doesn't come true.
ready for the sack, sibs?
You are right Tony. I look on the bright side. At least I am not standing behind the goal, in the rain, freezing. One day I will come back and watch a match. All I have to do is dream....
Hey DT, do you fancy taking sibo home in my 1960 Humber Super Snipe, It has a back seat the size of a double bed. Daisy will confirm this.
I'm going to take my leave in a few minutes, as i have a very long and busy day in town tomorrow commencing 0600hrs. So i must go to bed soon.

Tony .. May i leave my riffly tickets with you please?

Ladies .. As usual you have been very gracious hostesses, and i have also enjoyed seeing all you other regulars.
Yes, goodnight nungate and all, thank you for a lovely evening
Very true that Daisy, my son goes to every home match, he as a season ticket.

One good thing about following my Barca boys is that I get to watch all their games from the comfort of my own sofa - can't exactly fly down to Barcelona every weekend - though I have seen them play in Edinburgh, that was a treat!
Safe journey home, and sweet dreams sibton
Night to all, Sibs, take my arm please, we can't have you slipping with this ice, can we?
That is a lovely poem DT. It struck a few chords - the years spent commuting for one. As regards Margate's northern light I went to the Turner Gallery this year. There was a Tracy Emin exhibition; absolute ****.

Don't forget your jammies for next week Sib - it's a pyjama party! Nighties, are allowed but no birthday suits, dress code is that there should be at least two buttons on night attire - birthday suits have only one!
