We're keeping things a bit low key here at the Towers this evening as preparations are in full swing for next week's Christmas ball. However, that said, we still have the customary selection of volly vonts and horses doovers, the hot plate tonight is a melange of flavours it is the Towers' Hot Pot - you name it, it's in there! A tasty treat indeed. On the pudding trolley there is a sherry trifle (prepared by these fair hands - Scoff doesn't "do" trifles. The Minstrels are yet again in the gallery with their madrigals and fugues but as a special treat they will play us some Christmas Carols as well as their interpretation of the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band's Greatest Hits!

For the rofl: I have half a dozen overcooked mince pies (blast that oven!)

3 left socks (various colours!)
I extend grateful thanks to Excel for his contribution to the rofl Belle is unpacking them now. Queenofmean will not be joining us she's out gadding about - wearing "those" shoes!

To all present. I am having serious trouble with the laptop this evening and it's taken me ages just to be able to write this. So if I suddenly drop off the south Tower tonight please forgive me and continue with your revels.
If I cannot restore my laptop to full working order tonight's rofl will be held over and a bumper draw will be held at the Ball next week.
Meanwhile, enjoy your evening.......................I shall return if the laptop allows me

I am more than stuffed after carols and a gammon hock at the pub....just back in. Carol was very nice...........one pair of her knicks and a bra for the riffle as well as a Guinness surger with a can.
