The grand alpine cart is an anagram of Richard Plantagenet. In his play, Shakespeare has Richard III, who was the last of the Plantagenet kings, saying 'my kingdom for a horse', so Richard may be the first word, but I've no idea what the other could he. He had a nickname, Crookback or Crouchback, but nothing fits the 6.
Queen Charlotte (married to George iii) was known as the African Queen, to which 'apple charlotte' is named???
