Hey Nessie. To start, 2 of us are having goats cheese and aubergine stack with balsamic reduction, the other 2 are having prawn cocktails. Then it's turkey and all the trimmings, with blueberry chutney instead of cranberry. Merry Christmas. xx

Hey Nessie.

To start, 2 of us are having goats cheese and aubergine stack with balsamic reduction, the other 2 are having prawn cocktails.

Then it's turkey and all the trimmings, with blueberry chutney instead of cranberry.

Merry Christmas. xx
A bit of salmon, boiled new potatoes, and vegetables.
Blueberry sounds nice NoM, have you had it before?

There are 10 of us, 3 households, so each household provides one meat, there will be turkey, beef and gammon - and yes, we are in charge of sprouts!
We're having smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and bilinis (sp)

Duck breast, chicken and beef....with all the trimmings.

Trifle.
we have the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast, wtih Bucks Fizz. I don't think I've ever eaten a blini, what are they like?
I don't know, this will be my first time trying them :-)
please report back!!! :-)

Homemade Scotch Broth soup then Steak pie with roast potatoes mixed vegtables with sprouts. Followed by homemade apple crumble with ice cream.
No starter,

Turkey, triple smoked gammon, pigs in blankets, carrots, brussels, roast parsnips and roast spuds.

Crunchie Pavlovas and/or Christmas pudding.
Will do.

I planned on having bucks fizz but if this rain continues I might give it a miss. I'm not walking to the inlaws in this ...
Yes I have, boxy. It's blueberries cooked in cider and goes beautifully with white meat. It comes from a little deli in Hereford.

If you make it to the next AB meet-up, I'll bring you a jar!
I like blinis. They remind me of tiny flattened muffins - but maybe that's just me.
They're a bit like little pancakes. :)
Turkey for us. As wartime children, we still consider it to be a luxury. Sprouts, too, we love them.

Happy Christmas to you all & enjoy your dinners.
Oh....yes, we will be having sprouts :-)
Thank you NoM, I may well take you up on that! Is there a date we can work on?
We're having melon, tomato soup or prawn cocktail for starters
Roast ham with all the trimmings, cheese selection and far too many cakes to list. And lots of alcohol, to get me through christmas with both sets of parents, oh the joys.
Turkey etc but also boiled eggs and cream cheese soldiers as that's what my littlest daughter says she wants for Christmas and since I have her with me this year over Christmas then boiled eggs she can have;-)
