Can anyone please help? After searching through the almanack repeatedly with a fine tooth comb, I still cannot find the answer to question 4: "What increased from 936 in June 2011 to 962 in June 2012?"

Investigate World Heritage Sites. There were 936 in 2011, increased to 962 in 2012. You need to check this by searching the internet, but I'm pretty sure of these figures. Good luck!

Not sure it's a help - I've found information about the save thing in two places, one saying 936, one saying 962 but I'm blowed if I can find both on one page or anything specifying June. unesco world heritage sites

I'm still not sure about this one. Whitaker's questions are usually much tighter than this (although this was, of course, the question where they had to issue an amendment so perhaps the compiler had an off day!), and I too can't find any specific reference to 936 AND 962 in the 2013 edition, or the 'June' bit. I've found the 962 - albeit listed under 'July' - and the 936 can be found in the corresponding place in the 2012 edition, but that still seems a bit un-Whitaker's and isn't exactly fair on people who are trying to solve the Quiz just with the 2013 edition!

I too have found the information in two places, one saying 936, one saying 962, and can't find them on the same page. Puzzling! I will just have to go for the page with 962 on I suppose. The other question I am not too sure about is the Butcher, Baker and Candlestick maker one. They are all livery guilds, but there doesn't seem to be an obvious odd one out... This one will be a bit of a guess aswell!
