Hi Ed. We have been sharing our pics tonight of the snow and ended up with a lot of ABers posting lovely photographs which we have all enjoyed on this thread I started

It set me thinking that this would be a great new topic for ABers to share their pics for us all to enjoy on this site. I know we like to see DT's drawings too so these could be included. What do you think? I think it's a good idea and others agree with me. Thanks.

There's a hobbies and interests category in S&C. Would that not be suitable?

Yes maybe ummmm if we all knew to post them in there, I have never used that topic but will have a decko at it now .........

Yep, great idea, I suppose it could be an additional category in "hobbies/interests' or maybe in 'arts'.

as said, there are plenty of sites for pictures - that is not the purpose of this site - this is a Q&A site - not a photo site - it would get clogged up with loads of random crap that no-one wants to look at ...

pictures posted in response to a post is fine, but i have no interest in wading through random pics posted by strangers - thats not why i come here

lets not try to change the point of this site by trying to add loads of different facets.

I actually think it's a pretty nice idea as does my daughter Sharingan, she's concerned however about copyright issues- ie she would want to keep copyright of all her photographs and artwork and not for that to pass to AB- other than that one small issue- awesome idea.

Joko, maybe you'd have had a point if this was about actually posting photos here, for one thing that would use up a lot of bandwidth. I can't see anything wrong with people posting "random crap" if it's just links to another photo hosting site eg. Photobucket. If anyone doesn't like it, they can always ignore it (like I do with Q&P).
How about if the page was titled "what do you think of my photo?" - then maybe it would be in keeping with your ideal of AB being strictly a Q&A site.
