Law On Putting Nails, Broken Glas Etc Around Garden Walls...
just watched super scrimpers and a man on it put old curtain gripper strips around the tops of his garden wall to deter burglars - i was under the impression that this was illegal...?
if so, isnt that a bit of an irresponsible 'tip' to show on national TV?
many years ago my dad put broken glass shards all around the shop back yard and the walls of what is now my house.
no-one has even complained, police or otherwise, but i thought it was illegal to put it there now.
whats the law here?
i'm just curious, no intention of doing it.
thanks

Barbed wire (or similar) must not be used below 1.8m in height. With warning signage it may be used between 1.8m & 2.4m but could still be required to be removed by the highways authority if bounding the street or public pathways in this height range. Above 2.4m it is not restricted nor needs signage.
