Our local former airbase, RAF Neatishead is on sale on ebay for £2.5million!

Just a publicity stunt or do you think there's a buyer out there on ebay?

When they were listing I wonder what categories it suggested for RAF bases used.

RAF Cottesmore near us was up for sale a while ago, not on ebay though :)

The seller has a near 100% rating, so it looks as if it's a serious sale but it certainly doesn't fit in with the rest of what they've currently got on offer!

The mention of Neatishead, however, is enough to make me feel ill. When I was 'trade plating' (delivering vehicles to auction) I sometimes had to hitch to Neatishead (usually from Frating, half-way between Colchester and Clacton). It's not an easy place to get to!

On the news there appeared to be quite a number of buildings. Anyone with a bit of foresight and another million or so to spend could probably make something of it.
It won't be me though.
