Quizbank Website

As an organiser and compiler of charity quizzes, this site was recommended to me for advertising my quizzes for people to download. It is apparently run by East Elloe Lions.

I quote from the blurb -

'The process is simple. As a charity or person representing a charity, you donate £10 to East Elloe Lions and submit your quiz via our upload form. Once payment is received, your quiz will be listed on this site for people to download'.

I followed the instructions, paid my £10 via PayPal and uploaded my quiz on 28th January. I have a PayPal receipt for this donation.

My quiz has not appeared on the site as promised. I have e-mailed East Elloe Lions via the website but have not received a reply.

Has anyone on AnswerBank had dealings with the QuizBank site?

As per your last posting re the quizbank site. Downloaded the East Elloe quiz and made enquiries re advertising my Buxton Mountain Rescue quiz. However, I decided against it as I didn't think it would work the way I would have liked it to. I take it then, that yours has still not been advertised.

I have just looked again and unless I am looking in the wrong place on the site, I can only find their own quiz which finishes on 16th February listed.

I have now e-mailed the organisers twice via the website but heard nothing from them.

I have also written a letter to the organiser on 6th February and posted it to his home address with a 1st Class stamp. Still nothing.

I really am angry about this especially as I have now paid my credit card bill which included the PayPal payment to East Elloe Lions.

My quiz, by the way, is the new St. Guthlac's Ladies' Guild 'Great British Shires' one.

Does anyone have suggestions on what to do next?

Can you take it up with paypal.

Thanks for answering. I think PayPal will only deal with goods rather than services.

I have got the Shires quiz although not started it yet. I am pleased I decided against advertising the quiz with the quizbank site after your problems with them.

Good luck with the 'GBS' quiz. I'm almost running out of ideas but I have until September to think up a new one!

Panic over! Two members of East Elloe Lions contacted me today to apologise for the non-appearance of the new St. Guthlac's Ladies; Guild Quiz on their QuizBank website.

Apparently, the website had crashed and they were not aware of it until they received my letter in the post.

The quiz is now advertised on the QuizBank site so all is well.
