This is 'Emperor Kawakiri'. For my final week I take my challenge words from my work experience.
My first job was with ICL (International Computers Ltd). I worked mainly on power supply assemblies, although we did spend quite a bit of time on the car park as our site was the one that was usually locked in battle with the management. As you can imagine that made us one of the first sites to be closed and I had my first run in with redundancy.
I then spent a short while as a milkman for Express Dairies, before getting back into the computer based industry with VDU Installations. VDUI were a Data/Electrical installation company based in Bracknell who opened an office in Runcorn making cable assemblies and switch boxes. I started out working on the assembly benches and later was workshop manager. Due to increased cabling installation work in the north I was then moved to the Installation side of the business and ended up travelling all over the country. However I then had my second run in with redundancy but managed to get work with a former colleague who had left VDUI earlier, I then worked for Tech Installations, a Manchester based company.
After a while doing Data cabling installations I was assigned to one of the large banking sites in Chester doing moves and changes. Due to the bank outsourcing their IT functions, I ended up having a direct contract to BT Global services and assisted with the day to day running of the moves & changes team. I was then moved over onto the project team and eventually got lumbered with the title of Project Manager.
Also during this time my boss at Tech Installations decided to retire so I took over in order that I could still bill BT Global direct.
However as all my eggs were firmly in the one basket, when the banking crisis hit in 2008. I was shown the door by BT Global and since then have worked through agencies just picking up whatever work I can.

No best answer has yet been selected by gen2. Once a best answer has been selected, it will be shown here.
For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.According to normal practice, for the everyday running of MM, I shall follow this rule on word length, in that each of my pre-selected link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts!
Each of the selected link words may go in front of, or behind my challenge word to make a new longer word or to make a well-known phrase or saying. The combination will never be a person's name.
The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm, when gen2 will declare my pre-selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past. My set of four words to have their links predicted should appear below at 9.00am.
