just some clue which I have got answers to but I am not sure they are correct so I will see if anyone comes up with the same

Goofy is right with Leicester.  The Earl of Leicester was Elizabeth's favourite courtier (one of them anyway!!).

Leicester is often the answer to the question Elizabeth's  favourite cheese.
