Why do people take such delight in spreading bad news.

If we want to know the news we can go to a web site like the BBC News web site.

Then why do we have a news section on this site? My Friends and Family have been posting messages of support for this local mum since the weekend, it's ended in the worse way, you might not have heard about the desperate search for her, must not have been important where you live, here it's been the main worry all week.

my sister-in-law is heartbroken, they all knew it had to be bad because of the baby left at home.
