Shooting And Archery As A Children's Sport

my 9 year old son loves his weekly archery and shooting sessions.( yeah, i know - but i've come to except it :/)
He does seem to have a natural talent for hitting the target - choosing to stand at the same distance as the adults.
It's only a small, family run, rifle range and they don't seem to do certificates etc.
Is there a children's association where they develop up through different levels? I know they are both olympic sports too.
(i have asked hubby to ask, but he never does!)

Hi Chris, my kids do archery, they love it. There club is affilated to Archery GB, the governing body of archery, have a look on their website, the may have local competitions etc.

It's great to hear of a child with interestes other than computer games! For rifle shooting try the NRA (national Rifle Association). I think all their competitions are graded so you compete with people of a similar skill level, I don't think they differentiate by age.
