Can anyone help me with this please? The things have recently been weighed at school and thing 1 is 65 kg and thing 2 is 72 kg. when they were born, thing 1 was 5lb 5oz and thing 2 was 6lb 14oz. Is the difference in their weight still the same ratio (or whatever the proper term is)? Thanks (I could probably work it out but I still wouldn't know if I had got the answer correct.)

65 kilos is (about) 10 per cent less than 72 kilos.
6 lb 14 oz = 6 * 16 + 14 = 110 oz, so for the same ratio, 10 per cent less would be 99 oz. But 5 lb 5 oz is only 85 oz, which is way too much smaller to be covered by the approximateness of that 10 per cent. The lighter thing is definitely catching up.
