Is anyone else cross that you can no longer send the You magazine crossword in the post to enter the competition? Now its going to cost a pound per text and even more to telephone and they dont even want the crossword answers.Just how many a's there are.One of the pleasures was not making any mistakes and filling the answers in neat and tidy. Now it doesnt matter as no one will see it! Im really miffed!

I get the Irish Daily Mail which has the You magazine on a Saturday, the same
as the MOS and you can still enter by post, so think you could do your crossword and post it with your name and address to (no number of A's needed, post to
You Crossword No 1,327.
P.O. Box 5332
Cardiff Lane
Dublin 2
Republic of Ireland.

Postage cost is 87p.

Good luck and Happy Easter.
not sure how to put an answer on here so hope this works. I am fuming as being housebound this was my sunday pleasure. I will not do it any more which means I don't have the paper either. I don't have a mobile and can't afford the landline rates so they dip out I am afraid! I am also seriously miffed!!
If you recall the did the same thing with the Sir Lancelot crossword, I
expect before long the will do it with the Prize Crossword as well.
Are you saying you only do the crossword with the hope of winning £500? I do the MOS xword and You mag. one but never bother sending them in. Why deny yourself the pleasure of doing them, just don't bother entering them.
Yes of course we do the crossword to win (live in hope die in despair) but for me who does not have much cash - its nice to think one might win - and its been terrific when I have won.
like you i bought the paper for the enjoyment of doing the crossword there is no way now that i will be doing it to make a fome call that cost more price of a stamp im not a scrooge.
I agree with you Akela, I could not afford to phone or text either.
I agree, its just one more rip off i for one will not be texting or phoning with my answers if every crossword solver feels the same way and boycotts the crossword maybe they will revert back to postal entries, in my dreams i suspect
I agree, I enjoy trying to win even though it's highly unlikely so will probably stop buying the paper and save myself £1.50 a week. Maybe if their sales drop they'll reconsider.
Another nail in the coffin for the post office as well. No more stamps being brought.
They probably want our phone numbers to sell on to firms who pester us with unwanted things just as we are about to eat our evening meal.
I'm going to save all my 60p's and every ten weeks do six extra lines on the lottery!
I have always done the xword for the pleasure of doing it and never posted an entry. I can see why all of you who did are miffed though. It's another way to extract money from us.

I hope people stop entering.
thank you, I will certainly give it a try

i am angry that this has happened
the mail on sunday of course get half the money made from the text or phone call
if it were 50p plus text cost i would do it but not at £1.12
so i am afraid they will lose my business as a result
I enjoyed this crossword and always posted it now stopping, the cost of a stamp is expensive enough never mind pounds for texting and phoning another rip off. Will try another paper with a prize crossword that can be posted.
I too will not be texting in the answer. I am now looking for a different Sunday paper with crosswords to post in. Any suggestions?
I am miffed also ridiculous I can see the entries going right down in numbers
i won't be doing it any more
