Got back home from visiting son, and my mini greenhouse has been blown over and all my plants tipped out of their pots - every single one, flowers and herbs. Worst of it is that all the labels have come out too so I've spent ages repotting and identifying them. It's SO windy here today and I HAD weighted the greenhouse down, obviously not well enough!

The council have just been to close the road further down from our lane. There's a massive tree which has split and it's lodged in another tree in the other side of the road, so it's sort of forming an archway. Looks VERY unsafe. You're in Ireland aren't you Gness? We're just on the other side of the water to you; we're obviously sharing the wind tonight:-(
Been very windy here in York today, seems to have calmed down a bit now.
Goodness - we have no wind at all down here in the southern corner, it's been a lovely day. 22 degrees in part of the south today.
Bit breezy but not too bad in Manchester either, been quite warm which has been a pleasant surprise. Sunny yesterday but quite dull today with bits of rain.

It's that sort of wind that thunders and roars rather than howl. It's even making the cat nervous!
It's scary wind here too...Edinburgh....can hardly hear telly for noise coming down chimney....pots on patio tipped and cold frames gone ...somewhere !!
