Are You A Nosy Neighbour?
33 Answers
As above, are you a nosy neighbour?
I've just spent half an hour glaring at the people next door trying to reverse a motorhome onto their drive. It got to the point where I didn't actually know what I was looking at, just being nosy.
Do you know your neighbours?
I don't really. I know a couple, like the little old dear a few doors down, who reminds me so much of my departed Nan that I grab every opportunity to speak to her, and the odd couple next door who's cat I am plotting to kill.
I used to live on a main road. Well, the main road to the sea front anyway, and I knew them all. I kind of miss that. Standing outside in the morning, in your Pj's, waving the kids off to school and saying hello to the other Mothers doing the same. Friendliness. There doesn't seem to be any around here.

If you know what you are doing, it can be a three-point-turn, but more often, it is a 97-point turn with much bumping and cursing!
We know our neighbours both sides, and we always have a chat, and do the usual taking in parcels etc.,, and for one side i feed their cats if they go away.

There used to be a really nice man next door to me, who I would regularly chat to. In fact, I went round there on New Years Eve one year. He was really friendly.
unfortunately, he moved and was replaced by some random Polish dude. I've tried to make conversation, over the garden fence, but he just looks at me and does this nervous smile. Weirdo.

To see my neighbours I would have to hang precariously out over the balcony.
Although I think the biggest risk would be getting dumped on by the seagulls who quite often sit on the edge of the balconies. //
and then JJ there's the other birds & tits resting on the edge your balcony.

Yeah, he works all the time. It's very rare that I see him actually.
I think he's a nurse. Well, he has a nurses uniform (a male one) anyway.
I do like the poles. my kids are outnumbered by them at the school, but the parents are always very nice. I find them more chatty that the English parents. not as standoffish.

I get on well with both my immediate neighbours and got to know fairly well the others on our block.
During nicer days, all our kids play out together on the back street and in each others houses, i love it, it means at any one time there's always an adult supervising the kids.
Why are you plotting to kill a cat? :-(

Lol. I love how you're all saying "I'm not a nosy neighbour.... BUT...."
Just face it, you are nosy.
That's what it was like when we were kids. We had a lane behind our house that all the kids used to play in. Couldn't do it these days though.
I'm plotting to kill the cat because I am sick to death of having to clean up it's Sugar from my lawn, and having to tell the kids they can't out to play in the garden until I've been out first and checked it.
