55a One waste after another, a self inflicted injury. I have "BLUE ON BLUE" as friendly fire, but what has that to do with "one waste after another? Any explanation would be most welcome.

Blue can mean to spend extravagantly or wastefully; squander

Comes from the armed forces where the enemy is red and the home force is blue.To blue something is to waste it. Hope this helps.
