Good news from The Times -just got this e-mail

As a member of The Crossword Club, you know how challenging it is to pit your wits against our brilliant brainteasers. But what you probably don't know is that, since December, access to the club is included as a complimentary part of your subscription.

The even better news is that as a result, we have organised for you to be refunded for your separate Crossword Club membership fees you have paid since December. In doing so we have also cancelled your Worldpay Futurepay agreement so your access will now just continue as part of your subscription and you can continue to test your brainpower on our much loved crosswords.

"part of your subscription" meaning presumably subscription to the Times Online.
If, however, you don't have such a subscription presumably that does not apply.

No - notthe on-line version I only get the normal paper.

What is the "subscription" a reference to then?

I pay up front for the paper by direct debit - saves about 25%
