For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Play " nothing to do with . . . " First person says a word - any word. Second person has to say another word, with absolutely no connection to the first. Anyone can challenge if there can be even the most obscure or futile connection. Say the first is "locomotive" and the second is "squid". Someone could claim that both can move about. One player could say "Shipwreck" and the next could say "Kilimanjaro" and it is up to the players to challenge whether there is any connection. You need an umpire.
Making up words using the letters on registration plates eg SWR-swear,sword.shower,etc.Might be a bit difficult for that age though.Making up a short sentence eg.She Was Rich.Mind you,it's sometimes difficult to spot the letters-the cars go so quickly! The adults used to play too-some strange words were made!
Alphabet games ,turn about -Girls names eg.Ann,Betty,Carol.....You might have to help with the letters. Can do boys'names, towns, fruit etc

Ed asked this a good while ago Jem and two of the answers I gave were:
Stick a fiver on the windscreen....have a huge tub of beads or two tubs each with 100 beads in and long lengths of string.....the first child to thread 100 beads on the string gets the fiver. x
Prefil a pillowcase with dozens of little objects...keep a list of the objects. The children feel through the pillowcase to guess the object. x
