Greeting Cards And Glitter !

Why oh why do people put glitter in greeting cards ? I have just opened about 15 birthday cards ( I am 60 today, although some of my teeth are much younger ! ) and glitter has now landed in my Weetabix !

Ate it anyway....its going to be interesting in about 12 hours time !

On my last birthday I opened one card and about a zillion pieces of birthday confetti flew out. Despite hoovering daily I still keep finding the damn things a month later

Dont worry about a bit of glitter falling out your cards, Just be glad you have kind people to send you birthday cards. Many people are lonely and dont get any.

Great poem Mally. I am somewhat put out to realise that I get about 4 cards maximum on my birthday. And one of those is from someone I got to know in a bingo chat room!

My wife and her pals all make cards and there's not a flat surface in this house that doesn't have glitter on it, I feel your pain (although not as bad as small shards of sharpened foil passing through).

Its not really a problem I have I must admit, I never send Birthday cards except to my Carakeel, kids and grandchildren, so I get very few in return. I think all these cards are a waste of money, I cant imagine how many trees are felled every year to make all these cards every year, especially at Xmas time.

When my children made my dad a Christmas card, they stuck holly onto it.
So I kindly enclosed a small tune of Savlon in the envelope.
Other people are just so thoughtless! :-D
