If that doesn't work, make a note of any extensions that you've got (because you'll need to reinstall them) and go to Help > Troubleshooting Information. Then click on 'Reset Firefox'. That takes Firefox back to the way it was when it was installed (but retains your bookmarks, etc).
Conne, On this laptop spell check works with google chrome on the other things (don't know their name) but I like mozilla firefox and it never appears.
sorry Ar I am out of here - no good with computer info - and I know Chris gave you great info but if you are like me - it took me nearly 3 days between me and Chris to finally get my computer back to what it was - good luck. Have patience and Chris is very patient - so Chuckfickens.
Chris I have searched and I have'nt got them on my screen, I did a computer course and I know they should be. I'v had a flick about and can't see them.
Spell check works on google chrome but I like mozilla.
Buenchico is talking about the menu bar on Firefox. You might need to enable it.
Right click on the top bar in firefox and put a 'tick' against Menu toolbar.
Thanks, SlackAlice. (The menu bar has always been present by default whenever I've installed Firefox. I've only ever come across it being disabled in internet cafés. However 'Help' can still be accessed by clicking on the orange 'Firefox' button at the top-left of the screen).
No problemo!!
Only other thing I might add is that arwyn might have Firefox on full screen mode. Press 'F11' to correct.
Other than that nothing else to add ☺☺
arwyns spelling is fine without a spellchecker imo, we all have human frailties.
