E-Mail Failure
18 Answers
My main e-mail address keeps failing to deliver my e-mails. It says something about 500+ failure and keeps returning 554 when I click on it. 554 being part of a massive page. Does anyone have a clue what I'm talking about or, better still, know how to restore my e-mails. Needless to say I shall be eternally grateful. Thank-you

You need to contact Mimecast then as something in your mails is triggering their anti-spam measures, possibly an automatic privacy disclaimer or somesuch.

This is the 554 it keeps high-lighting. Does this help?
/// Email rejected due to security policies
A signature was detected, which could either be a virus signature, or a spam score over the maximum threshold.
Anti-virus checks cannot be bypassed, and the sender should be notified. Anti-spam checks can be bypassed using a Permitted Senders Policy or an Auto Allow entry///.
I've tried clicking on those 2. They seem (apart from being in Gobbledy-Gook) to be about incoming e-mails.

Thank-you very much,for answering, Sophia.
Not sure I understood much, no let's be honest, any of it.
I'm quite old and self-taught so I know nothing.
Looks like a trip to the phone shop for me.
I was sort of hoping someone would say 'press the red button twice and the green one once' or similar.
But,once again, thank-you.

I don't know, sorry, Fitzer. A young chap set all that up for me when I got the phone. (He's at uni, 400miles away)
The people who sent the fail messages are 'mimecast' and 'kbid'. Did Sophia's message mention 'kbid'? Hope we haven't done her a disservice.
I'll google those 2 names & see if that helps.
