Keyboard Misses Regulaly

Can someone enlighten me,i purchased a microsoft plug/play keyboard for vista,why does it miss, i tap out, look at my screen only to find half the words missing.ive had to fill this question in 3 times for missing words.

A lot of it is your typing styles. I've just got a new keyboard and despite them being from the same manufacturer they have distinctly different feel to the keys. After about 4 weeks I'm finally getting used to this one, although I still make errors.

Just to make sure try connecting your keyboard into another USB slot. You can also try uninstalling the keyboard, shutdown the pc, unplug the keyboard, then re-start the pc. Once the pc has booted up plug your keyboard back in.

Actually it may be something much simpler. Change the battery. This only happens to me when the battery is getting low. Even a recently purchased keyboard may have been manufactured ages ago, along with the battery it came with.

If its a USB plug and play then it won't have a battery, it's powered from the USB cable.

If it's wireless keyboard then it will have a battery. If the keyboard is wireless then try moving the transmitter around a bit, some have quite a short range.

You may have to install the software for the keyboard go to the Microsoft hardware site and take a look and make sure you have the right one for your country of origin as they are different in Australia we use the US style of keyboard.
