Q1. When you are first to go in Scrabble, does your score double?

Q2. When your go includes two words and one of the letters that it is both words falls on a double letter square, does it count once as a double, or twice?

Please help! Disagreements over a game we are playing!

Yes, you put it across the double score square in the middle.
.... and yes, if say you add an S on a double square to an existing word, then the new word starts with that S, you get the double score from the existing word AND the double score from your new word.
Q2. Yes, it counts double for BOTH words
Q1. Yes. You place your initial word across the double word square in the centre of the board.

Q2. If you place a letter on a double word square that serves to make two words, both words count as double.
board usually finishes up in the air anytime I play :(
