I have solved all clues apart from two, but am at a loss as how to start fitting them in. any hints please as to where to start, maybe where the long answers go?, either here or at

Start with the two 11-letter words which have only 2 places they can go. (The clue opening "unfortunate" goes in the lefthand of the 2 columns.) Then see which across answers can link these; there are 4 such connectors. Thereafter, it should all slot into place with the rocks indicated by blank cells.
