There was a Gordon the Gopher but That has nothing to do with money.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_the_Gopher

A tenner is known as a Darwin, a Cockle, a Bill and Benner, an Ayrton Senna, a Pavorotti (a tenor!), Big Ben, Uncle Ben or Dirty Den but none of these is 7 letters

A £20 note is known a Score, a Bobby Moore or an apple core, but these don't fit the criteria for being boy's name with 4 letters
Factor you got to the same conclusions as I did. Nothing is going to help Grenhelm with these questions as they stand.

thanks - sure Gordon is the answer to the gofer - any more ideas please re £20 and £10 note - boys names (4 letters and 7) respectively
The £20 note used to have a picture of Edward Elgar on so maybe the £20 note has been referred to by some as an Edward
why can't the boys names be as you have said for
£10 note
Charles=7 letters (Charles Darwin)
then for £20 note=Adam=4 letters (Adam Smith)

Good point, katburd. I suppose it depends on the exact wording of the clue. Can you tell us the exact wording please, Grenhelm?
