News must be slow in Westminster if this is deemed important.

Gromit will be along in a minute to claim it's in some way a "humiliation"!
Stop trying to score political points TTT. ;-)
Cameron still trying to hide his bald spot too?

It shouldn't matter, but baldness was said to be one of the reasons Kinnock wasn't elected. Made him look old and the nation wanted someone young and groovy (so they elected Major). I suspect glasses present the same problem.
I was shocked to notice last night that Nadal is losing his hair...........
it's a stressful sport, craft

jno...I am not sure that baldness played a huge role in Kinnock's lack of success. The prime reason was that the Murdoch-led Tory press did a huge hatchet job on him, especially The Sun.
spitting image and him falling over on the beach, celebrating before he had won ..........

He was not known as the Welsh windbag for nothing.

And then he does very well on the EU gravy train so we know what sort of man he really is now.
mikey, it's not so much what you or I think as what politicians think. They seem to think party leaders need hair.

(Their feeling is probably that you can't do anything about the press but you can hide bald spots.)

jno, that's not a bald patch.

it's the usb point where the aliens plug him in.
Mrs McM thinks the glasses are a prop to add gravitas to his image.
He hasn't seen what the rest of us have seen for all the time he has been in office, so perhaps he should have gone to 'Spec Savers' in the first place.

It wasn't that Kinnock was bald - it was that he had a comb-over, and his advisors told him that a politician who can't be honest enough with himself to admit his hair has gone is unlikely to gain the trust of the electorate.

Kinnock duly had a 'shorty' done, which of course looks much better - but his other faults - less easily fixed - made him unelectable anyway.
dave's probably bought some clear glass spectacles to make him look intelligent
As the line in Grease so wonderfully puts it -

"I've got some new glasses, do you think they make me look intelligent?"

"Nah, you can still see your face!"
Did I waste my vote on a PM who wears reading glasses.......................what a shame.
