The calm before the storm.
A bright orange sunset at present so all may be well tomorrow morning for the launch of the Links Games but don't hang around waiting to play on Sunday because that's when the big blow comes in from the west.
First to kick off in Q&P tomorrow morning is the KM Game which is managed from Australia by Seekeerz. That is based on the Daily Telegraph GK Crosswords (set by Kate Mepham, hence 'KM'). Play anytime before midnight on Sunday for an equal chance of points.
Slightly later you will have a chance to try your hand at the other version of the game, The MM Links game, set by one of the players. This month's setter is Pixie373 who has been temporarily elevated to the position of 'Queen of the Pixies', aka 'Joan the Wad'. Her introduction will appear at 8:45 and the challenge itself at 9:00.
The Shrubbery is now open for socialising.
Remember - anyone can play either game.
New players are always welcome
Mmm, it certainly look as though it's going to be a bit wild, though not so bad down here perhaps. I'm sitting staring at my desktop wallpaper (heather on North York Moors) and wishing I could be there...we're off to Devon for a few days the week after next, but it's not the same.
Teeming down here in central London - stopped by a man selling wood on the street, told me it was a starter kit for an Ark... ...
Hope all are warm and dry tonight.
