In answer to your question on the "Old Macdonald" thread. If you are going to make just one clock I would say buy a kit which contains the movement, hands, and numbers. The movement fits onto the plate with a nut. The most TIME-consuming part of the operation is placing the numbers and making sure that they firmly adhere.
