What Browser do you have and is it the up-to-date version.?

The reason I ask is because it seems to be something that happens when an old Browser is being used.

what menu (if any) do you get when you right-click on the image?

I've got google chrome and the menu listis:

Open link in new tab
Open link in new window
open link in incognito window
Save link as
Copy image URL
Copy image - I use this one
Open new tab
Inspect image

Good morning granny g......After I had posted to you last night, I tried on Google Chrome to see if I could copy and paste images from the Internet. Much to my surprise I could Not and then went to bed wondering about the matter.

Anyway, I have this moment re-checked and once again been surprised; only this time because I can NOW copy and paste photographs.

Please have another try because it may have been a hiccup with with the Google Browser which has been rectified as an overnight automatic up-date.

Incidentally I very rarely use G Chrome preferring Firefox. However I do know that my version of Chrome is 29.0.1547.76m Check and let me know if yours is up-to-date with the number I have given.......Click the three horizontal bars at the top right of your Google page then, from drop down menu, click 'About Google Chrome' to establish the version which you have.

I use Chrome and on right click I get the option to 'save image as' which is the one I always use to download an image to my pc.

An alternative is to take a screenshot of just the area of the picture on screen - there are quite a lot of add-ons (don't know about chrome) or separate programs that, as you take the shot, let you define the screen area for the image.

Thank you all for helping an old lady with technophobia.

I checked the Google reference Al and it is the same as yours and I have been able to cut and paste today weird eh ?
Great news... I agree...a bit weird. However, Computers are unpredictable.

As far as I am concerned...it's an old man who, along with other ABers, has helped a young maiden in distress. lol

I doubt granny g that you are as old as me. It's a good while since I had my first Computer and then I was about to have my 70th birthday.
