Switch Off Or Not
Can anyone settle an argument please, when i got my Broadband Hub i thought you left it on all the time, my freind says NO i should turn it off when i shut my PC down, leaving it on apart from using electricity it doesn't do the hub any good.
Who is right please

Anyway, router should always be left ON. The exchange system optimises the line speed (over a period of around 10 days) by periodically sending test signals to the router. If the router is turned off, the exchange detects that as a fault on the line and lowers the available speed to compensate.
So switching off your BT Hub will REDUCE your download speeds.
