Good Morning, Princess Di calling you all.
We have now come to the final week of my challenges. December and the forthcoming winter are beckoning. Most of us are facing great hikes in our electricity and gas bills about which we can do very little if we are to keep warm. I just pray that we don’t have one of those really bitter winters that have been plaguing us of late. It’s all very well the powers that be telling us to turn down our thermostats to save money, but then we get cold, and I worry about the very old and infirm who cannot cope with the cold as they can’t move around enough to warm themselves up.
Prince John’s usual prediction of snow before his birthday, has come true again, not that it hung around for long this year. The wonderful colours of Autumn have disappeared and we are now left with the job of clearing up the debris. Or if it is in public places, the Local Authority but they don’t seem to have the man power these days. The roundabouts and verges in our authority were sown with wildflowers this last summer ‘to save money’. Yes, quite pretty, but not nearly as good as the usual geraniums and petunias etc.
As a parting comment, I would like to thank Gen2 for all his help and guidance over the last 5 weeks. Until you have done this task, you can’t appreciate the work he does. I’m not sure that he actually takes a break himself. He’s always in the background just in case of a computer crash and then has to collate the scores on Sunday evening. Many thanks Gen2, your work is much appreciated.
