Good evening and welcome to Nungate Towers.
Time for all members of the Mad Over Fifties Club to congregate and make merry!
Our tailcock for tonight is Mojito Madness! For our Hot Plate Special a delicious Steak Pie with lashings of gravy and creamy mash with carrots and peas - mmm.... and on the pudding trolley there is an apple and blackberry crumble and custard (cream is available) of course there are our customary volly vonts, canopies and horses doovers!
Playing in the gallery are the Minstrels with the usual madrigals and fugues.
Down in the ballroom The Tone Deafs with a delightful selection of '60's covers!
There are roaring fires in the library, and also in the snug where any member wishing a bit of quiet can make themselves comfortable and where a nice tray of refreshments awaits. Our huge library is open all members, and as well as the vast array of books we have a nice selection of all magazines and periodicals, I do believe the latest issue of
The Wheeltappers Gazette has just arrived! Up in the North Tower the
hot tub is bubbling away, the mini bar has been well stocked. The bungee is primed and ready for use, the indoor pool is also ready (cossies are ready for those who forgot to bring one)
A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals

Evening your nungateship, my usual bucket and a hot plate special for me please, Igor, but no mash please.
I think Aston Villa football club should be by Royal Appointment now, Prince William was at Villa park this afternoon.

As long as he wasn't singing Tony!

Good evening. Are you well?

Sorry to take so long to get back to you, Queenie is away this evening and best beloved has been on cooking duties - dinner was late this evening (but still very nice!) Igor will be along shortly.
I'm fine thanks, nungate, how are you ?. Is queenie out on the town tonight ?.
And what did best beloved do you for dinner ?.
Good evening Tony Sir, I have your bucket
Evening nungate and Tony. Had some difficulty reaching you tonight.
How does one avoid the gravy in steak pie?
Mojito Madness? Something good in it no doubt. No worries, a bucket please together with some crumble and custard. Not much point in making it for one.

She's staying with her friend who lives in Edinburgh tonight, both Mr Nungate and I are looking forward to a nice quiet evening - no dramas!
I've been told we have to pick her up tomorrow as she wants to do some shopping in the city centre - not something to be undertaken lightly.....
Question Author
Good evening Daisy, lovely to see you, how was the dance recital?
The gravy in the pie is not a runny gravy more of a thick sauce, I've done a very traditional steak pie in the Scottish style (and no it isn't deep fried!) ;-)
Thank you, Igor.
Evening Daisy, you were missed at the towers last Saturday night.

Daisy, stangely enough I don't mind gravy in pies or stews.

Enjoy your shopping expedition tomorrow then, nungate lol.
Question Author
Good evening Madame Daisy, I've brought your pie and bucket (I made sure there wasn't too much gravy)
Question Author
Igor you are using my thread again......!
LOL ^^^^^^^^^
My apologies Madame, a slip of the finger I think
How's the leg now, Igor ?.
Question Author
You are forgiven Igor.

Tony I may yet be able to "duck" out of the shopping trip (I hate shopping)
it all depends on whether my aching bones will allow me to sally forth or whether the want me to stay home - if she wants picked up late morning or in the afternoon I may not be able to weasel out of it as by that time I'm usually reasonably mobile
My leg, it is so much better these days I barely even limp now Tony sir,
Question Author
Yet you limped before the "fall" Igor
The dance recital was good but don't mind admitting that Gd's school was the best of the eight taking part. Bias? Nooo. Under the auspices of the Western Association of Ballet Schools. Called One Moment in Time and each chose a particular time in the past to illustrate in dance. Which brings me neatly into my rifle prizes.
A ration book. A tin of Spam. Some Camp coffee. Bottle of gravy browning, an overall with the utility mark on it, a pair of camiknickers and a silver coloured snood.
Question Author
ooooh! I fancy a silver snood!
Sounds as though you had a good evening then Madame Daisy. I will confess it was rather quiet around the Towers last week, Madame wasn't going to open up the Towers until after the Doctor Who programme, but the young Madame came in early and set up
It's very sexy nungate, especially if you get the rest of the hairstyle right.
