Could say that he had made quite a splash with that announcement. However, what a much-ado-about nothing and shouldn't really be on the national news, but then he has always been publicity seeking.

Good luck to the kid, at least he's being honest early in life rather than it cause all sorts of psychological issues later, Graeme Obree is an example!!
The Times reports his parents saying that he was too young to make this 'decision' . Well, that's a bit better than the reaction of some family members when someone declares themselves homosexual, but not ideal.
Morning LJ... xx though it's still late evening here!!
Tom's decision..... I look at this as a positive for him. Graeme Obree grew up in the last of the Ayrshire mining village where it was almost impossible to be honest like Tom has. I'm of a similar age and grew up in the same area as Graeme and the homophobia that exists to this day is one the many reasons I'm glad I moved away
it's about 2.30 am here but i just can't get comfortable enough to get to sleep. silly old wrist is playing up a bit and i really dislike taking painkillerts. they are my very last resort. how's the cold.
i don't know why the media have made so much fuss. so what. if he was in the habit of abusing young children i could understand it but as that doesn't seem to be the case. . . . . . .so what!
My point exactly,lady-janine. But the parents think being gay is a 'decision' which someone makes, as though they can decide to be heterosexual instead.
