We started the final month of the year with 'Lady Eleanor' (aka elliemay1) as the new setter. She challenged you with some seasonal icons but did you select the correct connections?

This week's game has now closed and I can reveal that 'Lady Eleanor's' chosen links were:

PINE TREE - well done everyone for avoiding 'Christmas' (too many letters)
BELL BOTTOMS ('Hello Sailor')
LIGHT WEIGHT (to avoid heavy postage)
STAR TURN (and the sooner the better - I'm dying for a cup of tea)

Yes, I sad 'few'.
I was expecting scoring to be a little on the low side but not quite as low as it turned out to be. I hope the recently returned players (Teacher1, Magyar and Paulineward) are not put off by failing to score.
In fact only 9 of the 38 players collected points and nobody matched more than one.

Roslyn251254 got us started, as she often does, with STAR TURN 2 points

Grannydi came along a minute later with PINE TREE and Aquagility was within the two-minute bonus window so 2 points each.

Still at 9:02, Owllady put on her BELL BOTTOMS for her 2 points.

The final link fell at just 9:03 when Evsajo was boxing her presents and discovered they were all LIGHT WEIGHT (2 points)

Thereafter there were a handful of singles.

So who is to be Hot Shot? Difficult to decide. With points so elusive, all point-scorers should be Hot Shots.
