I'm doing a Cryptic Quiz and have 2 questions left in the Animal Favourites section . I'm at a loss and would appreciate any help.
(a) Her pet's hopes were dashed...(6,7)
(b)A moose loose about his hoose..(5,6)

So far the answers have all been names of animals e.g .Poet's dog sounds toilet trained =Flush
Brusque greeting from this fictional animal==Gruffalo.
