Good evening and welcome to the Annual Mad Over Fifties Club Christmas Ball
Nungate Towers is bedecked with Fairy Lights, the fires are lit in the hearths, tables are groaning with food and drinks! All that is missing is our members!
For our feast tonight Scoff the Chef has excelled himself! Roast Beef, Roast Turkey, Roast Pork and a haunch of Venison, will all the trimmings.
On the pudding trolley our patissier has also excelled himself! Opera Cake, Sherry Trifle, Ice Cream Sundaes, Christmas Pudding and Tiramisu (with a festive twist!) Of course there will be an even larger selection of volly vonts, canopies and horses doovers not to mention a plethora of other festive nibbles!
Our Tailcock for this evening is Merry Mistletoe, and just for tonight the Tapster has brewed a special Christmas Ball Ale, and has a delicious mulled wine punch
Playing in the ballroom is the Muckleflugga and District Concert Orchestra, famous throughout two counties! Also playing in the Great Hall is DJ 49 for those wishing to throw some shapes! Down in the Entry Hall, the Minstrels will be joined by our local Choir for some Christmas Carol singing around the Christmas tree.
Igor has polished his "special" chains they sparkle just like the fairy lights!
Sir Cumference has donned his white tie and tails and will be joining in the
fun in the ballroom.
As tonight is a special night there won't be a rofl, but everyone will be leaving with a party bag! Who knows, maybe even a visit from Santa himself!
So come along and join in the fun, a warm welcome awaits all who enter these portals tonight.
Good evening Tilly, no need for a ticket either, the rules are more or less you have to be over fifty, but I do not enforce that one to any great extent.
queenofmean lives here so I can't in all conscience prevent her attendance despite being only 25 (I could say she has an old head on young shoulders but that is seriously stretching a point!) So come on in and join in the fun, others will be along shortly, meantime Igor will fetch you a drink
Evening nungate. Tilly wonderful that you are here. Had a few problems on the way. Wind blew us off course a couple of times and Malkin and I are absolutely drenched. I've brought my dress with me. May I change in the Snug and have a towel for Malkin? Eric will soon drip dry.
Madame Tilly, is it? What would you prefer to drink? We have the Tailcock of the evening, the Merry Mistletoe, or there is a delightful mulled wine punch or
there is the Christmas Ball ale brewed right here in the Towers
Evening your nungateship and Yilly, must say that scoff has really done us proud tonight and so has Igor with those glittery chains of his, should be good in the ballroom later with sir Circumference joining in.
Igor, my usual bucket of Merry Mistletoe if you please.

Hello Daisy, I should have remembered about the high winds and sent a carriage for you. How was the dance thingy last week? Can Igor fetch you some refreshment?
Evening Daisy, glad that you made it with those strong winds blowing Malkin and yourself around the towers several times before you managed to land safely.
Evening Tony, DT, I trust you are both in the finest of fettles? Curse this dim light are you wearing fancy dress? I think Daisy looks very pretty in her outfit.
Evening all, just a brief visit from moi....I'm shattered and still 2 more days of work to go :( I'm flagging so much right now. I quite fancy some Trifle!
Evening DT, did you not know that her nungateship has announced that there will be no roffle tonight, however that Jewish light bulb looks interesting, is it's first name James by any chance.
Hi Tony and Dt.
Haven't seen a hopping bag for ages. Remember one trying to get away from me in Liberty's.
Would love a bucket of Merry Mistletoe and a canopy or two.
