Wine .the Name Of Which Eludes Me ....

I'm not a wine drinker .Have the odd glass now again but it's not a drink I go mad for ,however ,many years ago ,back in the year dot we used to get a bottle of wine to drink with a meal sometimes and it's driven us potty today trying to remember the name of it .
It was one of those wines that were the "in " thing at the time .It wasn't Blue Nun..lol .
I think the name began with P and it was in a dark greenish bottle ,not the usual shape wine bottle ,it was a white wine and was cheap and cheerful .Any ideas ?

Was the bottle sort of round, flask shaped that was often used as a candle holder in Italian restaurants?
