This was mentioned in an earlier thread - the programme should be MOCK THE WEEK.  The answer to 8a appears to be FOYLE'S WAR, hence the incorrect 'R'.  Although the clue (and the anagram) suggests that the second word is LAW, there is no programme I can find that fits this.

I think the compiler has made a boo-boo this week.

Mickey_Blue, It's a topical comedy series, along similar lines to Whose Line Is It Anyway?

It was on BBC2 a few weeks ago, but I think it's finished now.  Rory Bremner was in it I seem to remember.
