To Keep Computer Running

How do I programme my computer to keep running ? When I am running a anti malware or spyware programme on my W 7 pc, after a while the screen goes blank & when I click the mouse it opens up again & asks '' do you wish to continue with this programme'' I then have to click yes for it to continue.
I would like to arrange it to carry on to the end so that I can get on with other stuff without having to sit & wait to start it again.

I think if you go to cont panel, then to power option and then to where it says change plan settings and then you change there the time you want computer display to stay on and stop computer hard disc from going sleep. Just increase the time. Or select "never".

I suspect ot's your power settings Ron.

Control Panel > Power settings > change plan settings
