Question should read "Although it was unusual for ......(6) monkeys like us,....................." Answer is the name of a musical.

Many thanks for all your contributions. Have never heard of Cranks as a musical nor seen it on any of the many sources I have researched.
Well fleurbird, it may be wrong but the only answer I could find to fit the clue. Dating from 1956 and starring Anthony Newley and Annie Ross. You could type it in and see what comes up. If it's wrong then I apologise for passing it on.
You don't have to use it, of course.
