13 down: Deceptively attractive volume not special? That's likely to provoke resentment (9)
The answer is INVIDIOUS, which I see as meaning "That's likely to create resentment", but I am unable to work out how the cryptic parts of the clue work, and hope someone can explain it to me.
(I have v=volume and maybe in=attractive, but beyond that I am struggling).
Thank you

Deceptive - Insidious - swap S for V ?

Thank you very much Mamyalynne and bibblebub for your replies. I did not reply earlier as I was waiting to see if anyone else had anything to offer.
At first, like Mamyalynne, I thought the suggested answer was too weak, although like bibblebub I recognised that this was the best answer available.
I now do see Deceptive=Insidious. But the next word "attractive" in the clue defeated me for a while, but I think this means "put in" as in the word "insidious" "attracts" V (volume) and removes S (special).
I do think this very clue was all quite insidious (and possibly invidious too)!
