When I went into school last week the teacher told me that two of the pupils had head lice. 'Wear lots of hair spray' she said.

I managed not to become infested in all my years in a classroom. I never use hairspray. Does hairspray deter them?

Supposedly, the only thing that worked for my daughter when she kept coming home from school with them was a tea tree oil spray.

Did it work then, Rocky?
Well, after I started spraying her hair she didn't come home with head lice anymore, thankfully
Try rinsing the hair with a solution containing essential oils, 5 drops each of lavender and tea tree in a litre of warm water, shake well and use as a final rinse.
That's a good idea jamesnan, I'd also be inclined to spray it on my dry hair as I walked out the door as well.

I don't actually have head lice. I just want to makes sure I don't 'catch' them. Thanks for the tips both of you.
