We are desperately trying to keep our "Animal Assisted therapy" business going despite the move and losing the farm. So we are having to diversify a little. We are setting up a Dementia/Alzheimers help and advice service called "Quiet Minds" we are doing this voluntarily to begin with to see how it works and for us to find out what is going to be involved and where we can help and where we need to brush up on our knowledge.
Mosaic, I really like it but like you said, I think it is in use, Woof, we are looking through all our doggy pics now, nice idea. A silhouette of me with one of our hounds would be nice. we have a couple of me with the hounds in the sunset.
I think if your activities are going to have animals at their heart ie all or most of the interventions will involve animals, then that should be clear from the logo.
You could have a look at a service like fiverr.com to high a graphics designer to knock something up. Our resident graphics designer is Nellypope (there are others I'm sure, but she's the one that springs to mind) - it might be worth enquiring on her charges.
Additionally, these guys are in Manchester - so if you're still in Wales, that's not too much of a trek :) http://wearemogul.com/
I was unaware that the farm went, sorry to hear that.
I like the idea of using your own photo with the sunset made into a silhouette. Firstly its real and not lifted from someone elses art work, and secondly it can be made into a quiet relaxing image without being either "cute" or cartoony.
Just be aware that great danes are a teeny bit scary to those of us who are not used to them!
Very best of luck with your new venture.
We have never witnessed anybody afraid of our hounds lol, our problem is peeling people off the necks of our hounds, people have to hug them, especially the old and the young.
Thanks Ed, we leave the farm in the next few, our Landlady is the one being evicted for not paying her mortgage so we have to go. As for graphic designers, I think we can put put something together with the help of all our loyal ABers. Thanks to you all.
