I'm stuck on two: 2d. A pudding made in Northern England from the young leaves of the bistort plant (6). The answer appears to be Easter LEDGE but there's an S on the end (from APOSTLE) which doesn't seem right.
Secondly, 19a. A protein-digesting enzyme found in pineapple (8) It looks like it should be BROMELAIN but there are not enough spaces. Do you think it could be BROMELIN or BROMELAN ??
Thanks for Bromelin. As I said, there's an S on LEDGE so I'm confused. The clue for apostle is "Any of the 12 disciples of Christ who shared the Last Supper before his crucifixion".
I can't see where it's an error .
The bistort plant is known as easter ledges according to Wiki .
And there are plenty of references on Google to easter ledges pudding .
