100% Cotton Bedlinen, In Wilkinsons !

Hard to believe but true. I was in my local branch of Wilkinson this morning, getting razor blades, shaving foam, etc, and I come across some deep-dyed 100% sheets and pillowcases. I thought they were poly-cotton from a distance but on closer examination I saw that they were 180 thread cotton.
I was somewhat surprised to find them in Wilkinson, of all places. They come in all sorts of colours and they appear to pretty good quality. Just I thought I would let people know, if like me, you have an abhorrence of poly-cotton.

much of the home has been decked out with stuff from Wilco's - i like wandering around the place, good for sweeties, confectionery,
and all sorts.

I might be a bit thick but what is so exciting about finding 100% cotton bed linen with a low thread count in a shop?

If they had 500 or 600 thread count I might be looking for my nearest store......

In my opinion, 100% cotton sheets are not easy to find, outside of John Lewis and such-like. Its just that Wilkinsons seems such a poly-cotton sort of place, thats all !

i wouldn't consider that particularly low, and they aren't expensive, if one can afford the best buy the best, but many can't. I like them

the ones i bought are lovely, soft and easy wash and dry

It seems that I am coming late to the wonders of Wilkinson linen !
I shall return on the morrow and get a set for the caravan.

Fair enough. I am a fussy *** when it comes to bedding and prefer linen and if I buy cotton I stick to one or two brands.

I've never been to a Wilkinsons either, perhaps I should find out where my nearest branch is as I often see their delivery lorries nearby and they make me smile with the alphabet livery.

I have been a fan of Wilko for a while now. Light, bright interiors and the prices seem very keen. They tend not to be in those out-of-town shopping centres, or the do around here, so not so easy to park perhaps. But that is a minor problem.

They had some nice looking garden plants this morning as well.

i have shopped there quite a lot over the years, there are several in town, one in Wood Green

I must admit I prefer polycotton, much easier to launder, and I don't iron sheets. Good place, though, Wilkinsons - I wish our nearest branch was closer than 25 miles away.

i have bought lamps, cushions, books, and anything in between, they do their own ranges of goods, so can be cheaper than other stores.

i think they are much better. They have filled the gap left by Woolies, however they were quite a dated business by the time it went bust

I've just checked to see where my nearest store is, the next time I'm in that town I'll take a look.

They`re quite good for gardening things as well. I bought some blood, fish and bone there last week for £1.50. The garden centre wanted £7.99 for a slightly bigger box.
